Life Skills Development

Practical coaching that builds the skills, and the confidence, to do more for yourself.

NDIS registration group: Development-Life Skills

Life skills are the building blocks of independence. Our life-skills support is goal-focused: we work with you on the things you want to learn, at your pace, using real-life practice rather than lectures.

Whether it is cooking a favourite meal, managing money or catching a bus on your own, we celebrate every step.

How we can help

  • Cooking and kitchen safety
  • Budgeting, banking and money management
  • Communication and social skills
  • Using public transport and getting around
  • Personal care and health routines
  • Using phones, computers and everyday technology
  • Time management and routines
  • Preparing for study, work or moving out

Who this is for

  • Participants with capacity-building goals in their plan
  • Young people and adults building independence
  • People preparing for a change, such as moving out or starting work

What to expect

Set your goals

We turn what you want to achieve into clear, achievable steps.

Practise in real life

Learning happens in the kitchen, on the bus and in the shops.

Celebrate progress

We track progress with you and set the next goal.

Good to know: Skill-building is most effective when it is consistent. We can set up a regular routine of practice that fits your week.

Common questions

How long does it take to learn a skill?

Everyone is different. We go at your pace and review your goals regularly.
